OmniVision OVB0D camera sensor Release time

In December 2025, OmniVision has launched the OVB0D mobile camera sensor, which will jointly capture the 200 million pixel market with Sony’s recently released Sony LYTIA 901 camera sensor.

OmniVision OVB0D parameter specifications

The OVB0D is equipped with a 200 megapixel photosensitive unit and features a 1/1.11 inch outsole design. In terms of the photosensitive area of CMOS, it is slightly larger than the 1/1.12 inch of Sony LYTIA901. However, Howe’s OVB0D sensor adopts a recombination structure of Bayer color filters and dual layers, so its detail resolution may be slightly inferior to Sony’s LYTIA series Quad QuadLayerCoding technology, but differentiation breakthroughs have always been a competitive point for various manufacturers.

In terms of sensor performance, OVB0D has a full well capacity of 400000 electrons and a dynamic range of 108dB. Combined with second-generation DCG dual conversion gain and LOFIC lateral overflow integration capacitor technology, it can simultaneously preserve highlights and dark details in extreme HDR scenes such as backlighting and night scenes, avoiding moving object dragging and ghosting problems. LOFIC technology solves the functional limitations of traditional DCG technology in high pixel mode through hardware level overflow design, and can achieve a balance between full pixel output and high dynamic range.
