Recently, news media reported the latest intelligence on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra phone. The 3x telephoto end of this phone will be equipped with an f/2.4 lens, a CMOS sensor size of 1/3.94 inches, and a pixel area of 1.0 μ m, which is the same as the 3x telephoto specifications of the Galaxy S25 and Fold 7. Compared with the “Wannian” IMX754 sensor, it has been further reduced in size, still maintaining 10 million pixels, but the sensor thickness will be reduced.
The 3x telephoto end of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone is equipped with a 10 megapixel IMX754 CMOS sensor, measuring 1/3.52 inch in size with a single pixel size of 1.12 μ m.
Samsung’s previous Galaxy S24 Ultra, S23 Ultra, and S22 Ultra were all equipped with IMX754 CMOS sensors, with a time span of up to 3 years (S22Ultra was launched in 2022).
