On November 9th, Korean media ChosunBiz released a news report stating that Samsung has finalized the release schedule for the Galaxy S26 series flagship, which is consistent with previous years and is expected to be released in late January 2026 and officially launched in February.
ChosunBiz believes that Samsung will choose to hold the Galaxy Unpacked launch event during the last week of January 2026 (Monday, January 26th to Saturday, January 31st) to launch the Galaxy S26 series flagship phone.
According to reports, a Samsung insider said that rumors of a delay in the release stemmed from Samsung’s decision to abandon the Galaxy S26 Edge model in the later stages of development and instead choose to develop the Galaxy S26+. This change did indeed lead to an extension of the hardware verification cycle.
The biggest highlight of the Samsung S26 series this time is that the Galaxy S26 series will adopt a differentiated dual chip strategy. It is reported that the standard version of Galaxy S26 and the high-end version of Galaxy S26+will be equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 processor. As the top flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be uniformly equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in all global markets.
