The body of the iPhone 17 Air adopts a five level titanium alloy integrated molding process, with titanium metal frames and double-sided super ceramic crystal panel design. This is the first time that Apple has used titanium alloy in non Pro series models, ensuring a balance between lightness and sturdiness.
Using titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) containing 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, it has high strength, high toughness, and fatigue resistance, making the thinnest part of the middle frame resistant to dents up to 0.6 millimeters, while the weight is controlled at 165 grams, making it the thinnest model in Apple’s history.
Double sided covered ultra ceramic crystal panel, with scratch resistance three times higher than the previous generation, extended to the back of the body for the first time, providing additional protection. Global elimination of physical SIM card slots and interfaces, charging completed through wireless MagSafe, data synchronization relying on the cloud, further enhancing the integration of the device.
