When will the Xiaomi 17 Ultra be released?

On December 12, 2025, the top-of-the-line model in Xiaomi’s latest flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, is expected to be officially released and launched in December 2025.

Recently, two new Xiaomi phones with model numbers 2512BPNDAC and 25128PNA1C passed 3C certification, and media confirmed them to be the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The entire Xiaomi 17 Ultra series supports 100W fast charging and UWB. The standard version (2512BPNDAC) does not support satellite communication, while the high-end version (25128PNA1C) supports Tiantong satellite calling and Beidou satellite SMS. It is the first flagship phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor.

Lu Weibing, partner, president, president of the mobile phone division, and general manager of the Xiaomi brand at Xiaomi Group, has confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 series will not only have a Pro Max version, but also an Ultra version. Leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is testing a multispectral sensor and zoom flash, with the “ultra-large” version featuring a new physical zoom technology, highlighting its imaging capabilities.

With the launch of Xiaomi’s car, more and more Xiaomi products are supporting UWB technology. For example, the Xiaomi 15S Pro phone enables seamless unlocking of the Xiaomi YU7 car, eliminating the need for a key, and also supports automatic trunk opening three seconds before the user stands. Furthermore, thanks to UWB, the Xiaomi 15S Pro significantly improves spatial awareness, accurately measuring distances between devices; it can also automatically sense turnstiles on public transportation, enabling seamless payment without scanning codes or swiping cards.
